It's NO secret at all that I'm a massive Disney fan. It brings me joy and entertainment and nostalgia and there's nothing else that really does exactly that for me. My bujo is pretty much my prized possession (in a 'it's coming with me out of a burning building' kinda way). Filling it in is soothing and helpful and makes my day feel complete, so it seemed natural to combine these two loves.

August was the first fully themed month I've done, and I went with Lilo & Stitch because 1.) It's a great film, and 2.) My sister's birthday is in August and I love watching it with her.

First up was the double page spread you can see above. I prepped for the month by printing out some pictures that I wanted to incorporate into the spreads, as well as the alphabet in the font the film uses. I've traced the outlines from the pictures, and drawn everything else in.

Next up was my habit tracker, which absolutely keeps me on track with my goals. I've got a whole post on it here, but in essence it helps me to identify where I'm going right, what I've been neglecting, and what I really need to work on.

I've used the big leaf throughout a few of the pages to tie things up, and Lilo's toy Scrump added an extra something to the page.

For week one I went with surfboards as the core link to the theme. They're so important to the film, and I wanted to keep things summery/insert a bit of Nani into the month. It didn't leave me with as much room as I like for filling in what happens during the day, so I switched things up for week two.

The boxes for each day are something I've loved including, and totally work for me. For this second week I simply included the start of the best quote of the film, aka 'Ohana means family' (and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten).

Week three and four are quite similar, so I'm grouping them together. I've put a little coloured drawing on each of them to keep the theme going through the month, and they're probably my two favourite weeks because they're so clean and simple!

I've been working hard on September's theme, which is coming to an end now. I can't wait to share with you some friends from the 100 acre wood! I'm also plotting my October spread, which I'll start today, and I'm pretty much ready to get spooky now ...
