September favourites and life update
Ah September, what a beautiful month you were. Autumn well and truly struck, bringing with it crunchy leaves and chilly mornings, BUT the dark evenings and mornings hadn't quite set in yet.

September was a hectic month for me, and this brought with it a little mental health blip. It was my first full month in my new job that forces me to have a consistent routine, something I've never handled very well. I had a tough week or so towards the end of the month and felt really down.

However, I did have the bloggers blog awards at the end of the month to look forward to. I did some of the judging for the vlogging category, and I was SO excited to see who the final winners were. Granted, I did have to take a five hour coach there and back, and stay in a terrifying Airbnb but it was lovely to finally be able to put names (or, let's face it, twitter handles) to faces. It pushed me far FAR out of my comfort zone, and showed me that I could handle a lot more than I thought.

My favourites are all a bit strange this month I know, but they're all things I've been full on obsessing over.

I've mentioned my dandruff problem in so many blog posts now but oh my word it was really impacting my confidence. After months of trying a whole host of different things, I went back to basics and coconut oil has saved the day. I've been using the Vita Coco coconut oil once a week, rubbing it into my scalp the night before a hair wash. Nothing else was even touching the issue, so if you're struggling too I'd definitely recommend this.

The other beauty favourite I have for you this month is my Fuji pineapple balm Bath and Body Works showergel. It smells like hella sweet pineapples and I am obsessed. It's fresh and summery, which has made it an absolute lifesaver on days that have just been so ... grey.

This year I've gotten back into reading more and more as each month has gone by. I've also FINALLY got around to rereading the Harry Potter series. I got through The Chamber of Secrets and The Prisoner of Azkaban in September and oh my fuck I had forgotten how good they were. The last 100 pages of The Prisoner of Azkaban in particular had me feeling so many different things. I mean Sirius, and Wormtail and the Patronus and Buckbeak and omg just everything. I also had to pick up a newer edition of HP 3 because I'd lost my old one and it's so pretty that I now kinda want to own every book in the series in that edition too, so there's that.

Next up is one that I'm fully aware is hella strange to see in a blog post like this without it being sponsored. I had a hellish cold at the beginning of September and I'm determined not to let my shoddy immune system get the better of me any time soon. So, I picked up these Bassetts chewy multivitamins on my weekly shop. Yes, they're probably full of sugar, but they're so easy and tasty to chomp on with breakfast in the morning.

And finally I've got THE cutest passport holder in the world. I decided to be an actual adult and y'know protect one of the only documents in the world that I can prove my identity with. I'm 23 now so I figured it was time to actually start taking care of things, and it helps that the holder feels so 'me'.

What did you get up to in September?

  6. I used to buy those Bassets Vits for my husband! Haha. He has Boots own chewy ones now though, because they're marginally cheaper I think XD That showergel sounds amazing - what a great smell to have in the shower on a grey day! x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x
