How to host a Twitter giveaway

How to host a Twitter Giveaway. Nourish ME: www.nourishmeblog.co.uk
I feel like the days of doing a cheeky ol' Rafflecopter on the blog and asking people to follow you on every single platform and put in all of their details are dying a little bit. Now, Twitter and Insta giveaways are taking over. You just have to click a couple of buttons and BOOM, no fuss, no fiddling, you've entered. I for one find them so much simpler and more tempting to get involved in.

I really haven't been to many blogger events in my time. In fact, bar a couple of get-togethers with other bloggers, and an event I went to with Champneys as a member of the media rather than a blogger, I haven't been to any

Last weekend I eagerly (and very nervously) headed down to Piccadilly Circus in London to go to the the 2016 Bloggers Ball organised by the lovely Scarlett London. Although I've spoken to a fair few bloggers that were going on Twitter, I was uber anxious about meeting new people, being able to speak to them and not coming across as the lonely girl in the room who came on her own. Thankfully the lovely Laura (Elilibee), Emma (Essays and Wine), Chloe (Mojichlo) and Kayleigh (Very Berry Cosmo) took me under their wings and ensured I had a fab day.

We were greeted by a mass of lovely PRs and brands who were incredibly willing to help us out with any queries. The people at Seed & Bean were especially lovely, even though I was that person who asked whether their bars contained nuts or soy. Whoops. All in all, I was very impressed with how friendly the PR people were, and how much they know about the brand. That is, until disaster struck. Now I'm not going to name names, but a skincare brand rep was not only rude to a number of other bloggers but had the grace to inform me that my skin was quite clearly 'problematic' because of my freckles and obviously large pores. Thankfully I wasn't too hurt by this, but honestly can people not watch what they say? So. Damn. Rude.

There was a whole variety of stalls down there - fashion based ones, jewellery ones, foodie ones and more. We all know I don't do fashion that much, so my little beady eyes were drawn to the skincare and food/drink stalls more than anything. My favourites of these were definitely Seed & Bean (um they do lavender flavoured chocolate), Vatika who gave me the most nourishing garlic hair oil, and the On the Dot team who were SO enthusiastic about their brand.

Anyhoo, I had SUCH a fab day, and came away seriously laden down with all the goodies I received, and that's to say nothing of all the food and drinks I got to sample whilst I was there. The Roam and Relish pastrami was absolutely gorgeous, and I may indeed need to repurchase it. Plus, if you've ever wondered whether Boomf marshmallows taste as good as they look, they do.

Nourish My Skin | b.right Radiant Skincare Set Review

You guys may have seen this skincare set briefly before on my blog as it's part of my 100th post giveaway (which ends in a week's time, so y'all had better get entering!). I'm not going to lie, when I popped this set into my (imaginary online) basket, I had to add an extra one for myself. Benefit's Foamingly Clean facewash was my must-have skincare item for the summer. It kept my skin soft and spot free when I was slathering it with sun cream in Tenerife and living a not-so brilliant diet as a barmaid over summer. Plus it smells heavenly, and now every time I use it it takes me back to my sunny week of holiday at the beginning of June!

As I'd loved Foamingly Clean so much, I thought that this Radiant Skincare Intro Kit would be a great start to see if any of the other products worked as well. Now, I have to say I do have a couple of favourites that popped out from this. The Refined Finish Facial Polish was a perfect partner for the facewash, and the pair left my face feeling super soft (which meant that my housemates spent all evening being harassed to feel just *how* soft my cheeks were). The Total Moisture was also a big hit with me, and has now become part of my daily skincare routine. I have combination skin with a few dry patches, which can be very frustrating, but this totally primes my face ready for whatever makeup I put on and the harsh winds of English winter!

What are your skincare favourites at the moment?

150 Followers Giveaway | New Years Resolutions & Looking Back

(This looks half empty, but it's not! Body butter always shifts to one side whenever you want it to just stay flat, urgh!)

Full Bloom Lavender Round Essential Body Kit (inc. flannel, bath cream, bath crystals) |
Soap and Glory 250ml The Righteous Butter |
Boots Extracts 50ml Cocoa Butter Body Butter |
LUSH Think Pink Bath Ballistic Bomb |

So as I've reached 150 followers, I've decided to offer you guys the chance to win these goodies as a token of my gratitude! I've really enjoyed creating and improving this blog over the past four or five months and am so looking forward to the next year of more improvements and blogging! Scroll down and you'll see how to enter - UK ONLY, sorry. I will be checking to make sure that you've actually done them!

I created this blog because I believe that what you eat, and the way you treat your body has an incredible impact on your mentality. I find that on days, or weeks, when I eat junk food and don't exercise I lose motivation for uni work, looking good, socialising, and focusing on general life admin (ugh) which I really ought to keep up with. Hence "Nourish ME": to nourish oneself, in my opinion, is to give your body the ability to perform well both physically and mentally. Thus, when I started clean eating I also developed a good skincare regime (which I will get round to blogging about one day, I swear!), regularly moisturising, and switching to products that were a lot less harsh for my skin and hair. Since then, my nails have been growing like crazy, and everyone keeps commenting on how long and thick my hair has gotten!

So, this year I really want it to get bigger and better, and to keep the goals I set up when I started blogging. I think this is the first time that I've ever made any New Years resolutions, so here goes:

1.) Keep up with regular blogging, and make a list of new recipes!
2.) Go to the gym two times a week, and exercise at home on my new yoga mat on the other days - it really gives you a lot more energy to get on with other week.
3.) Actually keep up with the reading for the final half of the final year of my English Lit degree (this one makes me chuckle thinking about it)
4.) Tackle my problems rather than avoiding them. Work on my experience and endeavour to secure a job in publishing by Summer.
5.) Avoid dairy! Being intolerant to it helps, but boy do I let myself in for it sometimes out of lack of willpower/negligence for what's good for me.
6.) Meal prep - I am so bad at this, so at the end of a long uni day I always end up on the junk trail, but NO MORE.

What are your New Years Resolutions?
