My Autumn candle collection
As the leaves start to change and the temperature drops (at least, hopefully: WHY was it 23 degrees yesterday?!), it's time to dust off the candles because finally you want that extra bit of warmth and light and cosiness in your life again.
I'm a bit of a candle hoarder if I'm honest, and if anything, I only see myself gathering more and more as time goes on. They're something that soothe me and make me smile a little on the inside (and the outside), and I've always found that lighting a candle helps to get me motivated to do work.
Aren't some of these just absolutely gorgeous? My candle-loving heart is swooning. Here's a quick run-down of everything in my collection:
Leaves from Bath and Body Works. The holy grail of Autumn candles smells as good as I ever dreamt it might. This is the priciest one in my collection and you can't get it in the UK. But, if you're in the US, this is half price right now and you just NEED to get your hands on it.
However, B&M do an incredible dupe of it called Autumn for £3.99. The scent's not quite as intense, but it's pretty similar, and definitely worth picking up if you get the chance. I also picked up Mahogany Apples from B&M and it's one of my favourites to burn at the moment. This was also £3.99 and it smells of sweet, fresh apples. It's something that I notice as soon as I step into the room it's burning in and it just makes me smile.
I'm not a big pumpkin fan, but the Pecan and Pumpkin Seed candle from Pecksniffs smells pretty divine. It's a limited edition one from last year, but there *might* still be a few hanging around in Homesense. This is quite a sweet scent, but unlike a lot of pumpkin-y ones is fairly subtle.
And finally, let's get into the three DW Home candles. This brand has a lot of stock at Homesense/T K Maxx, so I've ended up with quite the collection of seasonal and 'all year round' candles to boot. These are (in my opinion) one of the best value for money brands out there - the candles are very reasonably priced, the designs on the packaging are beautiful, and they throw their scent very well. I've got a small version of their lavender chamomile signature candle, and whilst this isn't strictly an Autumnal scent, I always find myself drawn to the soothing aroma of lavender at this time of year.
Their oak and bergamot candle is my second favourite of the whole collection behind Leaves. It has such a fresh scent, with a hint of muskiness behind it, and the notes of lavender in it pair so well with the bergamot. Sweater Weather is almost the opposite of this, with quite an intense, smoky and sweet scent that reminds me of dark, cold nights.
I'd love to know what's in your collection, or if you hate the idea of seasonal candles completely!

B&M is so good for candles! I find the more expensive ones aren't really worth it at all, because the cheap options are just as good (and sometimes even better). Lovely post
