A massive Bath and Body Works haul!
Bath and Body Works is basically my idea of heaven, but we don't have it over here in the UK, which sucks. I've watched a shameful number of BABW hauls over on Youtube and the company's own Instagram almost makes me weep with all the prettiness it holds. So, it pretty much was on par with Disney World with things I wanted needed to do when we headed to Florida last month. For real.
The shop had rows upon rows of colour coded skin care. I could have wept. You know when you walk into a Yankee store and their shelves move from the darkest of colours to the lightest and it's just SO Instagrammable? It was just like that. RIP my little heart.
Body Care
First up on my 'I need' list were shower gels because duh. I've spoken before about how my mental health means that showering every day can be a bit tricky, and that having a good shower gel to use really makes a difference in helping to get me under the water. It sounds strange, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I probably smelt a good 20 or 30 shower gels before whittling my decision down to two (my poor boyfriend waiting in the shop hehe).
The lavender and sandalwood shower gel is my dream scent. As in, if I could pick any scent to create myself, this would be it. It's no secret that lavender is my one true love, but this product is something else. I've totally reserved it for only using on days when I'm really stressed out and in need of a soothing bath, because that way it'll last forever, right?!
I satisfied my sweet cravings as well as my need for a light floral scent by picking up the Fiji Pineapple Palm shower gel. This is the total opposite of the subtle lavender scent we had before. This strong, tropical aroma is something that's right up my street, and the closest scent I've had to it in the past is The Body Shop's Pina Colada range (which I'm SO hoping they release again this summer, because it was amazing). Both shower gels have shea butter and Vitamin E in to keep your skin super soft, and haven't made my sensitive skin sore!
Hand Care
Next up, I picked up some hand soap, because adulting. I'd heard so much about their soaps (seriously), and they were pretty high up on my list of things I needed in my life. Again, I went with a pair. Honolulu Sun is part of their foaming hand soap range, which means that (duh) it comes out as a foam rather than a liquid. I don't know why I was surprised when it happened, but oh my word I was so excited. The smell reminds me of beaches and sunshine and gentle natural scents floating along a breeze. I love it and it's made me want to go travelling again asap.
Beautiful Blue Skies is another subtle, natural scent, but this time it's a deep cleansing soap. These two are ones that me and my partner will be sharing, and he's not a fan of strong scents, so we went down the more natural route. Beautiful Blue Skies is an exfoliating wash with little beads in to get right down into the dirt on your hands; I've never tried an exfoliating soap before, so I'm excited to see what this can do!
I'm going to whizz through the hand gels because I got a whole bunch (how could I turn down 5 for $6 though?!). These are going to be the perfect Instagram prop for taking up a little bit of white space and will *hopefully* save my hands from excessive washing at work. I haven't mentioned it very much on my blog at all, but I wash my hands about 40 times every single shift. It makes sense that I therefore have really dry and cracked hands. I'm hoping that having one of these little gels in my apron (I'm a waitress) will help to encourage me to cut down on hand washing.
Sweet as Strawberries is pretty self explanatory in terms of scent, and Beautiful Day smells like fresh air and apples (it's my favourite of them all!). I couldn't resist picking up some little slogan style ones, and so we also have Good Vibes Only, SLAY and Bye Felicia as well.
And finally, the French Lavender hand cream is possibly my favourite buy of them all. As a result of all the hand washing I do, I need a lot of hand cream to keep my hands from cracking and getting sore from being dry. So many that I've tried make my skin sting, or are way too greasy for me to enjoy using, BUT, this one is my new saviour. It seeps in really quickly, and my hands aren't left tacky! The shea butter in the cream has made my hands so much less sore and it's totally become a daily essential for me.
I've filmed a little run through of this haul over on my Youtube channel, you can check it out here!
