Honey I Washed My Hair Solid LUSH Shampoo review
Solid shampoos are my ultimate bae at the moment. They last for ages, they don't waste any plastic packaging, and once you get the hang of it, they're really easy to use. I've got a myth-busting post all about how to use them and what they're really like here, but essentially you massage the shampoo bar into a lather between your hands and then use it as you would normal shampoo.
I've got quite dry hair at the moment, what with it being summer and with having dyed my hair a lot in the last few years. So, I wanted to go with something that would really moisturise my hair, keeping it soft and shiny. Honey I Washed My Hair seemed like a fab answer to this, and in a way it was.
It kept my hair shiny and feeling super clean, but I was so upset to realise that it's definitely had an impact on my sensitive scalp. I've had really bad dandruff recently, and once I stopped using this there was a noticeable improvement. However, if you don't have a sensitive scalp and just want your hair to be kept hydrated and moisturised then this is honestly really fab.
Have you ever used a solid shampoo? What did you think?

I've never tried a solid shampoo but if I was going to it would definitely come from Lush! I'm also trying to cut down on my plastics too so this sounds like a good option for me going forward. I've also vowed to buy most things from Lush now anyway as they're super responsible at taking back and recycling their own products packaging which is awesome! x x

Their ones are fab! The only thing that really bugs me about them is that they still contain a lot of SLS. But, the lack of packaging kinda has me sold

They're fab! LUSH is the only place that I've found so far that does them, but I imagine there are definitely more

It's a shame it irritated your scalp, but I guess if it was used now and then it would be okay :) Tania Michele xx
ReplyDeleteMy scalp just seems SO sensitive at the moment; everything is making it worse unfortunately

I had no idea solid shampoo was even a thing?! But then again, I only found out that dry shampoo existed about two years ago... so obviously I'm a bit behind in the shampoo department!
ReplyDeleteI'd totally give this a try!
