15 Reasons why Autumn is the best season
I know that I'm a lil behind on this one and everyone has already chatted about it, but as the days really are starting to get darker I thought we could all do with a pep me up and a reminder that there are definitely things to be enjoyed at this time of year.
1.) Cold, crisp mornings where the air feels clean and refreshing. The colour gets back in your cheeks and it's just so revitalising.
2.) Bobble hats are back. They're cosy and cute and now's the perfect time to grow your collection.
3.) Wrapping your hands around a steaming hot drink. Is there anything better? It's just not the same when the weather's warmer.
4.) Cute ankle boots of every colour and pattern are back in. There's nothing more dreamy than finding the perf ankle boot to keep your toes warm at this time of year. And Primark usually have a good selection so you don't even have to break the bank for it.
5.) Sunny Autumn days with dappled light coming through rainbow leaves. You get the vibe. It's the best.
6.) It's time to get all your throws and blankets out and make the house all cosy again, mmm.
7.) On a similar note, PJs are back. Long sleeved, fleeced, satin, however you like it, it's totally justifiable to wear them without getting sweaty and gross.
8.) You can be a kid and kick up a big ol' pile of leaves.
9.) No more boob sweat or chub rub. I am living for this.
10.) Evenings are dark enough that lighting candles sets up a cute vibe and you can fill your home with the most perfect Autumn scents. Which brings me on to ...
11.) Autumn cooking. Stews, cottage pie, crumble, roasts. They're all back in business. Carb town is back baby.
12.) You don't get woken up by goddamn sun getting through your curtains/blinds on a weekend morning.
13.) There's so much less pressure to lose weight and look your best, and it's so much healthier.
14.) Nights in are 1000 times more delightful. In summer you always feel like you're missing out with a night in on the sofa, but in Autumn there's nothing better than cosying up with some popcorn, a glass of wine and a blanket or three to watch a film.
15.) And finally, Autumn means that Christmas is officially creeping up and I AM SO EXCITED (and definitely not sorry).

Yasss, Autumn! My bloody favourite season. I love it. Give me all the hot drinks, throws, cushions, candles and nights in. I especially love it when (as long as I don't have to go out in it!) the rain is thrashing against the windows, the wind is howling, and I'm curled up on the sofa with a magazine/book, cup of tea, blanket or three and my cat! Perfect evening right there <3 x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x
