Fragrance Shelfie

Fragrance Shelfie - a little snapshot of all my fragrances and why I love each of them

I have a secret for you all: I'm a full on fragrance hoarder. I'm *that* person that doesn't ever want to finish a bottle of anything because omg what if I'm looking for that precise scent and no longer have it?! Does anyone else have this fear?

As we're moving next month and I should be decluttering (but here I am instead obsessing over my love for my lil perfume babies), I'm making genuine efforts to only wear one fragrance until I finish a bottle before moving on to the next. It's kinda breaking my fragile heart right now, so I thought I'd do a bit of a snapshot into my collection before I ruin it in the sake of condensing my possessions before moving.

Some of my fragrances I've had for YEARS (I mean, they're way past the 12 months or 24 months or whatever time slot the bottle states you should use it up in). So, I'm going to try and head in order of how old things are because, well, it's useful for me to look back on to work out what needs to be used next (RIP lil perfume bbys).

The Body Shop's peach body spray (similar here). This is something that I've repurchased so many times because who doesn't want to smell of peaches?! I love to spritz this in my hair during summer to get the odd peachy waft through and it's pretty dreamy.

Jo Malone honeysuckle and jasmine cologne. My grandma gave me this years and years ago, and I'm not sure it's one I can part with just yet. Jo Malone no longer do this scent, and it's that one that I wear on only the most special occasions.

The Body Shop's Moringa body spray. This is another one that's a little bit of a hit of summer in a bottle for me. I absolutely adore TBS's moringa range, and this spray was perfect for when I worked as a waitress and wasn't allowed to wear heavy perfume, but wanted to smell human.

Tommy Girl perfume. This is another one that I never want to finish. It was a Christmas gift from my sister that I used the first time I went skiing. It basically reminds me that forcing myself out of my comfort zone is okay and I v much need that reminder in my life.

Monsoon Rose Gold perfume. For a place that doesn't specialise in perfumes, Monsoon really hit the nail on the head with this one in my opinion. It's a little floral, a little sophisticated, and I feel extra sure of myself whenever I step out in this.

Ted Baker blush pink mini body spray. This is an absolute steal tbh. It's £3.50 in Boots, has a subtle floral scent and is the easiest little thing to pop in your handbag. Basically if I manage to get through this before I move I'm pretty certain I'll repurchase, because clutter doesn't count in a new home, right?!

Aeropostale's Live Love Dream fragrance is basically my perfect scent. It's super sweet (smelling a little like those Hollister body mists we all used to use), and the packaging is v beaut. This is one of my newest perfumes, and I'm so glad that I won't *have* to use it up any time soon.

Zoella's Sweet Inspirations body mist is another very sweet one, although much more subtle than Live Love Dream. It's supposed to smell like macarons, but I've never tried one (I know, am I even a real blogger?!), so who knows. This is another one that I love for summer.

So there we have it, my ode to all the perfumes I really want to hoard forever, but are mostly so out of date I need to use them up ASAP.

  1. I am such a massive fan of Body Shop Body Mists. The other day, on Mother's Day, I purchased a body shop body mist in a Strawberry Scent and it smelled absolutely gorgeous. I'm not usually one for sweet scents but when I smelled the tester it was subtle with a long lasting scent of delicate strawberry sweets. As it happens, my mother was telling me how Boots is now the store for perfumes-they've really upped their game and it's at a reasonable price too.😊
