Mid-year(ish) 2018 goals update: where am I now?
2018 has been the speediest year of my life, but also one of, if not the absolute, best. I'm working in a job I love, I've got a strong support network around me and I've even managed to keep a plant alive for a whole month. Everything's comin' up Milhouse.
Here's a little update on where I'm out with my goals for the year, and I'm so excited to share that some of them have been absolutely smashed!
1.) Save £1000. I'm absolutely nowhere near this one, BUT I did owe someone over £1300, and I've whittled that down to £500 now, even with having to buy a new laptop and moving house, so I'm not feeling too bad about this one.
2.) Hit 10K total followers (5K twitter, 3K Instagram and 1K bloglovin). I'm way off the mark on this one too, but I did take quite a lot of time off over the last couple of months. I'm feeling super hopeful about getting to 3000 followers on Instagram, but my Twitter growth has been basically non-existent this year so far.
3.) Do more yoga. Over the last month I've done more yoga than I have in the last year, and I've actually been enjoying it again. If I can keep up with one or two sessions most weeks for the rest of the year I'll be a very happy bunny.
4.) Fundraise for BCRT. My biggest achievement of this year has been absolutely smashing this goal. I've raised just under £900 and I really want to do some more fundraising before the year is out.
5.) Pass my driving test. I passed on my second test back in May and I'm so relived that I don't have to fork out my entire paycheck for driving lessons each month anymore. I'm insured on my boyfriend's car now, so I'm actually using my license!
6.) Travel abroad. There are still no travel plans on the horizon, but I'm hoping that before the year is out we get something booked.
7.) Pass my six month probation at work. I passed this and have since been promoted! I'm an Assistant Editor for a publishing company now and adore it.
8.) Declutter the basement. It was sweaty and frustrating, but so much rubbish in our basement was destroyed before we move house.
9.) Come off my antidepressants completely. I'm not feeling close to this one at all. Last year I cut them down by half, but I'm feeling a bit shaky and still very much reliant on them at the moment, so I can't see this happening over the next few months as much as I would like it to.
10.) Hit 250 Youtube subs. I'm way off this still, but I'm really proud to have just hit 140 subs! If you fancy helping me along on this one, you can check out my channel here.
How are you doing on your goals for the year? I LOVE having a nosy at these kind of posts, so link me down below if you've got one too!

Well done on getting some crossed off! I'm struggling with Twitter followers too this year - but then I'm not at all as active as I was in 2017.. It's my own fault really! God luck with the rest :) Tania Michele xx
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm not as active either, but I'm finding it so hard to encourage myself to change that
